peanut butter cookies



350g (1 cup) peanut butter

75g (½ cup) caster sugar

1 large egg

½ tsp bicarbonate of soda

¼ tsp salt

175g (1 cup) dark chocolate chips


  1. Heat the oven to 180°C
  2. Mix together all the ingredients except the chocolate until it forms a firm dough
  3. Stir in the chocolate chips
  4. Form the dough into 16-18 walnut-sized balls and lay onto lined baking trays. Give them a little press to flatten them
  5. Bake for 12 minutes or until browned and cracked on the surface
