… write family histories

I first became interested in genealogy about 7 years ago when I needed something to keep me out of trouble whilst I was between jobs. I’ve found it to be utterly addictive. The kind of addictive that finds you bathed in the blue glow of your computer screen at 2:30am muttering to yourself ‘Just one more record, just one more record’.

Whilst my side of the family are a fairly ordinary bunch of hard-working people, things got interesting when Mr. Eleanor’s grandmother told me about her childhood and how she was fostered out in Dublin as a baby, but never knew her mother. Now there’s a mystery that needed to be solved…
